Gas-fired central heating is a very effective way of heating your entire home. With this system, air is heated as it passes through the coils in a heat exchanger (furnace). The coils are heated by clean burning gas, which means the gas and air do not mix. Once the air is warm, it moves through ducts and enters rooms via vents in the ceiling and floor, quickly creating a warm and comfortable environment throughout the home. You can actually heat your whole house in just 10 minutes! The temperature is controlled with a programmable controller, which allows you to automate the system to turn on and off at your convenience.

Take control with a zoned system

With a zoned system, different parts of the house can be temperature controlled for added comfort. For example, a 2-zone system gives you control of the temperature and operation in two different areas in your home at the same time, such as living areas (zone 1) and bedrooms (zone 2). Each zone can be set at different temperatures or turned off completely.

It is easy to add a fresh air ventilation option to your ducted central heating system to keep your home cool and fresh in the summer. This draws in fresh filtered air from outside, providing you with a cleaner, healthier breathing environment during the warmer months.

Things to consider

It is important that you select the right size furnace for your home central heating system. A central heating system that is too small will not be able to meet your heating needs on cold days. On the other hand, a system that is too big will be unnecessarily expensive in terms of setup and running costs.
