Heat Pump Maintenance Person

Here’s and opportunity for someone who is hard working, is mechanically minded, enjoys getting out and about and meeting people, and who has a good level of fitness and agility.

Key requirements for this role:

  • Exceptional customer service skills with good communication and a good telephone manner
  • Quick learner who is mechanically minded
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements in particular working at heights up on roofs and ladders
  • Current (clean) driver’s license with NZ citizenship
  • The ability to self-manage your day, turn up to jobs on time, take ownership of jobs and follow up as required
  • High standard of personal presentation
  • Up to date with the use of modern technology and smart devices
  • Experience with installation of heat pump systems would be an advantage
  • Fit and proper person with no criminal convictions

A typical heat pump maintenance service would involve:

  • Run and check the system for abnormalities
  • Check all moving parts for excess wear and tear
  • Check cooling, heating and intake temperatures
  • Check, clean, and deodorise, filters, coil, fan and condensate drain
  • Check the outdoor unit clearance for overgrown vegetation, body corrosion, and that it is secure and level
  • Check the exposed services trunking for wear and tear and movement
  • Check the controller’s programming and batteries (replacing batteries if necessary)
  • Report back any faults or potential problems with the system

Heat Pump Installer

Ideally we are looking for an experienced heat pump installer to join our team. However if you are keen to learn and have the ability we are willing to train someone. We are looking for someone who:

  • Has had experience installing heat pumps or has perhaps worked in another trade and is looking to change paths
  • Electrical qualifications an advantage
  • Quick learner who is mechanically minded and knows their way around tools
  • Can read and understand instructions
  • Has a can do attitude and ability to problem solve
  • Exceptional customer service skills with good communication
  • Is up-to-date with modern technology and smart devices
  • Knows how to work safely in particular working on roofs, in ceilings, under floors, and around electrical components
  • Current (clean) driver’s license
  • The ability to self-manage your day and deliver high quality results
  • Fit and proper person with no criminal convictions

HVAC Technician

We are looking for an experienced heating, ventilation, air conditioning technician to join our team. This is an all-embracing role within a busy environment that requires a high level of energy, enthusiasm and the ability.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Proven experience with installation of air conditioning heat pump systems (2 years minimum NZ Experience)
  • The know-how to problem solve / diagnose faults and carry out required repairs effectively and efficiently
  • Trade Certificate (Ideally NZQA Level 4 for Refrigeration)
  • Electrical Service Technician license
  • Refrigerant Handlers (Approved Filler) License
  • Current (clean) driver’s license
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to self-manage your day and deliver high quality results
